Dreams of Love


As she walked to the end of the wooden boards, the stars spoke to her.” Dreams of love were white feathers whisked through the heavens by the wind. Lapping waves were hypnotic as they crawled ashore from the royal-blue sea. The low hum of the ocean was a majestic symphony playing to his queen. She wondered when her love would arrive. She giggled and grinned, thinking of the kiss they shared last summer.

He stood next to the ship beneath a silent sky as chords of moonlight shimmered on calm waters. “Every inch of his body sensed her presence.” She was with him always. Consumed by thoughts of her silky-soft lips. The mesmeric beauty of her smile etched in his memory. Staring across the grayish-white stitched horizon, he thought to himself, “soon my love, soon.”

  1. I would love that! It’s always exciting to me to see where these prompts take people. Hardly anyone ever goes in the same direction with them and that always amazes me. I know I haven’t been following you very long, but your poems really resonate with me. I very much look forward to them. Hope you have a great weekend. 🙂
