White lightning strikingly jumped out
of calamitous cauliflower-shaped clouds…
Sounds of thunder roared ferociously,
shaking red wooden barns that splintered.
Water snaked through green grassy hills
forming pools at basins, becoming a flood.
Animals were anxious as horses neighed,
disturbed by the annoyance of the storm!
The oak trees swayed, bending to the ground
as violent winds sliced like razors…
Chills of fear bore deep within my skin,
all hope was lost as screams went unheard.
Mother nature danced on the horizon,
whistling forcefully an ominous ballad;
almost ready to take her children home!
